Owl Wireless Labs (OWL), the research and development subsidiary of Harfang IP dedicated to advancing next-generation wireless communications technologies, today announced the appointment of Vatche Varvarian as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In this executive leadership role, Mr. Varvarian will lead OWL’s technology vision, research strategy, and innovation roadmap, accelerating the development of next-generation intellectual property across 5G-Advanced, 6G, and AI-enabled wireless technologies. He will oversee the expansion of OWL’s growing research and development organization and help establish the company as a leader in wireless innovation.
Mr. Varvarian brings more than 35 years of telecommunications engineering and technology leadership experience, including a distinguished tenure of over 20 years at Ericsson. Throughout his career, he has successfully built and scaled high-performing engineering and data science organizations as well as managed multi-million-dollar technology portfolios. Most recently, Mr. Varvarian served as Managing Principal at Studio a+1, where he led advanced Agentic AI workflow automation initiatives and provided fractional CTO advisory services to private 5G solution providers.
