The commitment to the Wi-Fi Alliance to license GETP patents on RAND terms and conditions is based on the previous owner’s participation in the Wi-Fi Alliance and the Wi-Fi Alliance Intellectual Property Rights Policy, a copy of which is available here.
The rates for a license to the United States Patents in the GETP portfolio, per subscriber per year, are as follows*.

The royalty rate for a specific country is adjusted downward from the standard/compliant rate to the extent not all patent families in the portfolio have a comparable family member in the specific country. An early adopter discount is available to willing licensees working diligently towards concluding a license agreement a reasonable amount of time after first being contacted about obtaining RAND licenses. Volume discounts are also available.
