Harfang IP announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary Hedwig Wireless Technologies LLC has acquired a portfolio of patents developed by Shanghai Langbo Communication Technology, a leading-edge R&D team in the field of 5G technologies. Terms of the agreement are confidential. The acquired patents relate to the aggregation of carriers in unlicensed (Wi-Fi) bands implemented in 3GPP standards to offload licensed carriers and increase data rates.
