A table setting forth information regarding the GETC patent portfolio, including the assets in the portfolio and the sections of the 3GPP to which the patents relate, is available upon request.
The commitments made to ETSI and TTA regarding the GETC portfolio are available here:
The rates GET is prepared to accept for a license to the United States Patents in the GETC portfolio, for Mobile Computing Devices (i.e. smartphones, tablets and laptops), are as follows*:
Standard Rate | Compliant Rate | |
4G Multimode Device | $0.20 per unit | $0.15 per unit |
5G Multimode Device | $0.266 per unit | $0.20 per unit |
* This advertisement of rates does not constitute a formal offer and is merely for purposes of providing information to implementers. Qualifying for such rates is subject to other terms and conditions being agreed to in an executed patent license agreement. Standard rates apply to unlicensed sales occurring prior to entering into an executed patent license agreement. Compliant rates apply to licensed sales. The royalty rate for a specific country is adjusted downward from the standard/compliant rate to the extent not all patent families in the portfolio have a comparable family member in the specific country. A fifty percent (50%) regional discount is further applicable to the Chinese Patents in the GETC portfolio. An early adopter discount is available to willing licensees working diligently towards concluding a license agreement a reasonable amount of time after first being contacted about obtaining licenses. Volume discounts are also available. For royalty rates regarding applications other than Mobile Computing Devices, GET is willing, as a matter of good faith negotiations, to take into consideration the specific circumstances of such other applications including, but not limited to, the rates typically paid for licenses to patents directed towards the same or comparable standards.
If you are interested in receiving a specific offer to license the GETC portfolio on FRAND terms and conditions, please contact us.
Note that although such specific offers are structured as running royalty agreements, GET is open to fixed fee and other license structures provided the implementer reciprocates, as a matter of good faith, with relevant information needed to generate the same (e.g. by providing past sales volumes for purposes of determining a fixed fee license).
